The outing is rated as EASY.  The terrain is easy and the distance walked will be short. Even so, brush is encroaching on the trail in places and some trees have fallen over the trail. The more fit among us are invited to bring pruning shears or a hand saw to clear parts of the trail as we go. Please note that there is also a flickr group dedicated to this lake at https://www.flickr.com/groups/lostlake/ and you’re welcome to join it and contribute your pictures of Lost Lake.

Please be aware that bears are active in the area, including one large male and possibly a sow with cubs.

Barb Rayment is the owner of Birch Creek Nursery, and author of several books including From the Ground Up:  A Horticultural Guide For Northern Gardeners. Listen to a CBC interview with Barb Rayment here.

Everyone is welcome – please share this invitation with others.
