Weed-pull at Hudson’s Bay Slough and Carrie Jane Gray Park, Saturday September 15

My apologies for sending out a very large attachment with the first message. I’m sending the message again without the attachment so that everyone on the list receives the information about tomorrow’s event.

There’s a major effort to remove invasive weeds this Saturday, September 15 at Hudson’s Bay Slough and Carrie Jane Gray Park. Adult volunteers are invited to come down to Hudson’s Bay Slough from 9 a.m. to 12 noon and Carrie Jane Gray Park from 1 to 3 p.m. to dig out invasive weeds. Tools, gloves and garbage bags will be provided, or volunteers may bring  their own. Groups of volunteers will be assigned to a trained leader to work on a specific area…..then they can go back time after time to see how their area is doing!

HUDSON’S BAY SLOUGH 9 a.m. to 12 noon: park in car lot by Gyro Park on 20th Avenue and follow signs and ribbon down to planting area.
CARRIE JANE GRAY PARK 1 to 3 p.m: enter from Massey Drive. the first entrance closest to 20th Avenue and the park sign; drive back towards the canal; follow signs and ribbon.
