Special Event – Caribou Watch – This Sunday (October 27th, 2013)

Club Events

1. Special Event: Caribou Watching, this Sunday, 27 October, 9:00 am through to the afternoon
Radio tracking of collared caribou indicates that a herd of up to 30 should be visible this weekend at a location near the Mackenzie turnoff. Dale Seip – Mr Caribou — will be joining us as  guest expert, and he and Doug Wilson be able to lead us to the sightings and explain many of the facets of the caribou recovery program. Meet beneath the large Spruceland Centre sign at 9:00 am suitably clothed, and bring a lunch.

2. Future Club Event: Bird Banding
We are planning an evening on bird banding — please let us know if you could take part and contribute to the evening on any aspects of banding: e.g. information on the work of a banding station, the scientific knowledge generated, photographs, or just anecdotes about the inspiring work being done.
